We landed about an hour ago. Its 11:30 here local time (for those of you who cannot math) and Ive been keeping up as best as I can from the road. Michelle was amazing and drove most of the way so I could keep up. The funeral today was bloody amazing. To stand up on that stage and see all of your faces, sad, and weeping, and be able to get just the slightest laugh out of you was exactly what he would have wanted. I had half a thought to take a picture, but Ive never been to a funeral before, and I dont know if thats P.C.... eh. The amount of support that has been shown for Jakes immediate family has been mind blowing. I know Jeannie, while carrying a heavier heart than all of us, feels a bit better after seeing the mountains that are being moved by everyone around us. Losing a loved one is never easy, Kristens resolve has been astounding. I know Ive been posting a lot. Probably over stepping bounds here and there, and being a pain in the ass. Thank you for tolerating that. Facebook has always been my go to for venting, mostly because Im an attention driven kind of guy, but also because I know there are usually kind words and support here. Im rambling and getting off topic. Ive landed in Lake of the Ozarks, MO. Ill be here until Sunday when we leave, and I start my new job Monday. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone involved in keeping Jakes memory alive. #JakeshoreBENEFITdrive is gearing up to be one of the best events this state has ever seen (I know, exaggeration. . . But still ;) ) and its good to know that expenses are going to be covered and well be able to celebrate an awesome mans life. I wish I could tag everyone helping with the benefit. Just know that if youre reading this, Im hugging you right now. (SO MANY HUGS! I love hugs...) Especially to those of you busting so much ass to get everything planned, and those holding everything together. Nick, Amanda, Ali, Holly, Jennifer, Brandi, Mike, Jason, Tony, and a thousand other names that I havent forgotten, I would just be up until sunrise typing them all. Thank you. Im gonna go netflix and crash in this awesome house. Yes. Im going to be disconnected this weekend. I promise. (Before Ali yells at me again)
