We live in a society where we teach women how to avoid being raped, but we dont teach men not to rape. I have a boyfriend is the easiest way to get a man to leave you alone because he respects the other man more than you. You learn more about great women in history from google doodles than you do your textbooks. Women are taught to carry keys between their fingers just incase they need to punch an attacker. In our society, when a man says no, its the end of the discussion but if a woman says no, its the beginning of a negotiation. Anytime a woman is emotional or passionate about something, shes on her period. Breastfeeding in public is offensive but scratching your balls in acceptable. Even after mass shootings, gun rights are still more defended than womens rights. A woman shouldnt feel any less safe walking home at night than a man. Females first start experiencing misogyny when theyre young girls in most cases. We are told that boys will be boys as if men cant and shouldnt take responsibility for their actions. Women are told not to be treated like objects yet men arent told not to objectify women. When girls go to college, they buy pepper spray and rape whistles while guys buy condoms.
