We live in a world filled with time saving and labor saving - TopicsExpress

We live in a world filled with time saving and labor saving devices. The microwave oven zaps our pre-packaged food in seconds. With our cell phones we can make calls without having to go home to the old land line or trying to find a phone booth. We no longer have to shovel coal, or bring in the wood to build a fire for the winter. A flip of the switch and, voila, instant heat. Theres no need to head off to the woods with the chain saw and the maul--hard work and time consuming. Lets not forget the convenience of the modern washer and dryer. We can just pop our clothes into the washer with a bit of detergent, push the button, and move on. Theres no need to draw up water from the well or go down to the spring. A fire doesnt have to be lit to heat the water. When theyre all clean, we can toss them into the dryer. The old clothes line can just stand empty. Think about the time and work we save. How about the automatic dish washer? We no longer have to stand at the sink washing and drying dishes. That means more minutes saved and less work to do, does it not? This morning you can get in your vehicle, turn the key, shift into gear and off you go. What if you had to go to the stable, feed the horse, get out the harness, put the harness on, and hitch to the buggy before you could even start? Again, we can see how much time and work were saving. SO.......????? Where has the time gone? Why are we always so tired? Why do we feel so stressed? Why do we feel frazzled? Sunday at Greenfield, Work, Work, Work, from Ecclesiastes 2:11....join us. And, join us Saturday morning for the Greenfield soup making. The soup should be ready about 11. You can purchase it to take home with you or eat from the bottomless bowl. Yall come.
