We live on a planet of finite resources. Our survival is completely dependent on it. Our current method for managing and distributing these resources is Global Market Capitalism. This system has created the world as we know it, including all the incredible technology we have today. However it is now destroying our planet and its inhabitants at an exponential rate. It has generated a social system which increasingly restricts human well-being and freedom for the vast majority of worlds population. The Global Market System -the most dominant ideology on earth - simply cannot manage worlds resources sustainably. Nor can it generate equality or freedom for the worlds people. As we are currently witnessing, social mobility is decreasing for most people, global poverty is rising and access to means of life such as food, water, housing, education etc is decreasing. Yet our technological understanding and capability is increasing faster than ever before. We have the technological capacity to create abundance for the whole worlds population many times over through the liberal application of technology and scientific understanding for social concern. Overpopulation is a myth. The carrying capacity of the earth is directly defined by our management of the resources and by the state of technology with which we utilize them. The market system is an outdated and primitive means of doing this. Left vs Right wing, Socialism vs Capitalism and all other isms exist within a market system and none of them can address these issues at their root. We need a straightforward, global redesign of our living systems on earth. Our resources are finite and so we MUST leave the infinite growth market paradigm behind and design a living system which operates without detriment to our environment and which is geared towards elevating the health and well being of EVERY species on the planet. This is completely possible and has been for over 30 years....technically at least. The problem is people dont know how and so dont believe it.
