We lived at 303 East Cooper when I was younger. This was taken out in front of the house when I was probably about six grade. One of the few properties on Folly where two houses were built on the same lot. The House that we lived in was built by my father, grandfather and my two uncles. The log cabin is on Ashley. I think it was some kind of lodge before my grandparents bought it and then built the house on the other half of the lot. I always check when I come to the beach in both places are still there. My older brother and I used to have to jack the house up every year because it would sink into the sand. My grandmother gave the house to my brother and he lived there for several years before he sold it. He spent a long time restoring the house back to close to how it used to look. All of the inside logs have been painted a dark green and the fireplace have been closed over. I always remember how heavy the front door was because it was a solid slab of Oak.
