We love to share stories from the field like this one. TRO Rwanda, led by local Rwandan community leaders Costa Nzaramba and Meschak Bizimana, has built and managed a pig farm in their village for over a year now. Thanks to the support of GO Champions, the organization can sustain a medical insurance program annually for over 150 women in the area by selling their pigs to cover insurance costs. Many of these women have young children, and with the savings from the program, they can send their children to local schools. TRO Rwanda also runs the Amizero Academy, a school centered around educating the most vulnerable children in the community where many of these children attend. Double whammy! We love it when community leaders like Costa and Meschak share stories like this one that are dynamic and have such a HUGE social impact on their local community.
