We made it to New Orleans today. I love Louisiana for all its water. It was at least 95F and the french quarter smelled wretched. But my boys can say they were on Bourbon St. I am sure their story wont mention it was noon and they were with their parents. Thought the road out of New Orleans was killing us. Hours went by while a tire had a busted belt and was shaking so bad we could only drive 60 in a 75. Did stop and check tire pressure but did not find the lumpy tire till it blew apart. Felt good to know the shaking was over. Lol. I set I new record on how much sweat I could loose changing a tire. Decided we are not going gem digging in Texas. Too hot to swing a pick. Maybee wait for high ground in Colorado.
