We may have been deceived & turned away from the Spirit of Truth - TopicsExpress

We may have been deceived & turned away from the Spirit of Truth to this deception & confusion coming of trusting our hearts & imaginations apart from the convicting light & sword of the Word of God.....but we do not have to stay there. By repentance we can come out of antichrist deception & confusion to the true light & sword of the Word which is the only means be which spiritual fruit may be truly measured & discerned one from the other! Consider....Well, I would say what Scripture says. The thing that you have to look at is the fruit. Is the fruit of this the work of the Spirit, which is love, peace, joy, you know, kindness, gentleness, so on, which is the personality of Jesus. ....If the fruit is good, then maybe the tree is good... The popes, one by one, theyve all said this is a gift for the church and for the world. Our bishops, nation by nation the bishops have come out with encouraging pastoral letters, saying... we believe this is of God. This is an answer that is given frequently by those who try to defend the mountain of doctrinal error within the charismatic/ecumenical movement. Look at the fruit,” they say. What they fail to mention is that a fruit of the Spirit is TRUTH! He is the Spirit of Truth. And in Ephesians 5:9 we are told without question that the fruit of the Spirit is truth. It is possible to counterfeit a certain kind of personality. It is possible to appear to be gentle and loving and kind. Some who appear to be very gentle and loving and Spirit-filled, can become awfully angry and lose control of themselves when the subject of separation comes up! And there are Buddhists and Hindus and atheists who demonstrate what some would call the fruit of the Spirit in their gentle personalities and daily dealings with men. Consider how many Christians today think the Hindu Mahatma Gandhi was a true saint of God. The Buddhist god-king, the Dalai Lama, appears to have the fruit of the spirit in his personality and dealings with men, but these are lost followers of heathen religions and certainly they do not have the Holy Spirit. wayoflife.org/database/strangethingsinneworleans.html
