We must awake everyday and remind ourselves who we are and where we are going. Regardless of the conditions, circumstances or situations, we must affirm our best qualities and our highest vision. Everyday through newspapers, television, radio and even daily conversations we are bombarded with negative, destructive messages. Its our job to overcome this assault on our self esteem and self image as individuals and as a people. We must start with the first the thought of the blessings we have in our lives. We must appreciate the breath of life, the vitality of health, the love of family and power we are bestowed with each day. I offer this video as the an affirmation of not only of the Philadelphia Youth Leadership Council but also as a reminder of who we as individuals and as a people.
