We must keep our Christian brothers and sisters who are being - TopicsExpress

We must keep our Christian brothers and sisters who are being persecuted, tortured, or imprisoned, in our prayers. The news reveals the violence around the world, especially the persecution of those who believe in Jesus Christ. It seems that the hatred is growing toward people who love Jesus and believe that He is the only way to salvation. Jesus warned us in the Bible that the world will hate us. If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. John 15:18-19. All this I have told you so that you will not go astray. They will put you out of the synagogue, in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warned you. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you. John 16:1-4. Jesus was warning his disciples, but it also applies to believers today. The only way we can explain the evil today is that its demonic. There are people in the world today who kill Christians in the name of their god; and, they think they are offering a service to God or their god. I believe this will continue to get worse. Therefore, we must remember what Jesus told the disciples - that when the time comes, we will remember the warning from Jesus. He warned us to be prepared so that we will not go astray. I am convinced that God will give us the strength we need to handle persecution; however, we cannot become strong if we dont stay close to God. I hope and pray that we will not have to endure severe persecution, but if we do, God will be with us and give us strength. Pray for our world and the many people who still need to accept the gift of salvation that comes from our Lord Jesus.
