We must understand a basic difference between The LAC border with China and the LC with Pakistan, Though patrol stand-offs routinely take place on the China border- there has been no live firing for almost 40 years. Firing of small arms and mortars and infiltration takes place routinely on the LC with Pak and casualties keep taking place every other day. We need time to complete our military and infrastructure build up against China. The armed forces have suffered 10 years of neglect.So let no one push us into a needless fight with China now. That said , we do not have to kneel down or kowtow to China. We should adopt a Tit for Tat approach. If China can have a srtong strategic partnership with Pakistan, it should have no complaints if we develop equally strong partnership with Japan- Vietnam and Phillipines.
