The folk in the southern states used peaceful protest against almost over-whelming violence and won. The folk with Brand used peaceful protest against corporate power and won. Peace is NOT about apathy or letting the other side run all over you or giving up the fight. Peace is the most powerful weapon you can use folks. If there is anything I can give you for Christmas, I want to give you my overwhelming belief that we will recover our rights with peace. Do your own research - google peaceful protest, nonviolent protest, peaceful sit-in, non-violent resistance - read about Jesus the peace treaty with the world, the suffragette movement, Ghandi, the civil rights movement during Kings time, the Flint sit-in during the Depression, Rose Parks bus protest, the flower-in-the-gun barrel anti-war protests, the fellow in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square,the Waikato Maoris, the peaceful protests currently being used throughout the world such as the Hong Kong peaceful protest which is still going on! But we have to be smart folks - not just go and live-in tents - we have to use modern technology and get smart. Suggestions welcome - but here is a thought. These peaceful folk, in all these peaceful protests - had no other choice.
