We need a new Program Manager !!! Keys to Abundant Life is an organization that is committed to improving the health of children and communities. We teach nutrition based culinary classes and health & nutrition workshops in schools and other sites in the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Long Island, and Yonkers and are growing quickly! Responsibilities and Tasks • Develop an understanding of the operations of KTAL • Observe and oversee projects at various sites • Interface with students in programs to gain an understanding of group culture. • Plan events, i.e., trips and cook-offs. • Locate appropriate places for trips and coordinate accordingly with school staff, students, parents, and store staff. • Prepare permission slips and letters describing trip/event. • Communicate with families as needed • Assess for and identify changes/improvements/needs for effective programming • Prepare and present orientations • Identify and develop an action plan to build upon successes, while addressing weaknesses, and challenges at visited sites with independent contractors • Initiate and develop business relationships for KTAL with the principals and afterschool supervisors at various sites • Conduct site visits to monitor independent contractor quality at least once per month per site • Maintain schedules of various sites and classes. • Represent KTAL at assigned site meetings independently and with independent contractors • Contact and connect with potential clients to increase KTAL’s client-base (schools, community centers, summer camps, etc.) • Help expand company’s growth through strategic partnerships and sponsorships • Evaluate sites to ensure compliance with institutional policies/ procedures • Ensures a safe and sanitary environment for Culinary Instructors and students • Transport culinary equipment and materials to various sites (drop-off and pick-up) • • Collect and organize paperwork associated with various sites • Work with bookkeeper • Keep track of dates of classes and cancellations Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s Degree in business management, public health, public administration, education would be a strong “plus” • Nutrition knowledge base a huge plus - Familiarity with health and nutrition trends • Minimum of 2 years in a non-profit or corporate environment • Minimum of 2 years building partnerships and sponsorships for organizations • At least 2 years of experience coordinating, managing or supervising individuals • Bilingual preferred (Spanish-speaking) • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and deliverables effectively • Aptitude in consistently addressing the needs of all related constituents • Must be assertive, outgoing and willing to contact new leads as a representative of KTAL • Highly organized along with time management skills • Must possess superior relationship management and communication skills (written and oral) • Should own or have direct access to a working vehicle • Commitment to outcomes-driven performance • Ability to work collaboratively with various NYC agencies, sites and organizations • Ability to Write grants (a plus) How to apply Please submit a cover letter and resumé to info@keystoabundantlife (subject line: Part-time Program manager – Last Name, First¬ Name).
