We need change and action now! by AH I firmly believe this is Arsenal’s make or break year. We are approaching 9 years without a trophy and although other clubs have had much bigger trophy droughts, none have been proclaimed like our one has and this needs to end. This is the season where we can go out and win a trophy and push high up to the very top spots of the Premier League, or this is the season, where we experience the last of Champion’s League football and fall down into the realms of Liverpool Football Club. The club deserves to be criticised over it’s recent transfer mentality, they will soon see that their ‘business’ will decline in both progress and value if we do not invest. It’s the same as business on the high street, if you don’t upgrade and continue to work as hard as your competitors, it’s inevitable that unless some sort of miracle is performed then you are going to full behind the rest and it’s always a difficult struggle to get back up. The mentality needs to change and it needs to change quickly because after the way things have gone the last two seasons, with Champion’s League football on the knife edge to the very last day, I fear that with Spurs unfortunately and admittedly improving, and the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea basically guaranteed a top 4 place with the talent they have on board, then next year could we be another rocky campaign for the Gunners. We have a strong squad already amongst us. It’s not as if we need to go out and buy a whole new team like Chelsea and City did, we are capable of the same feats as Manchester United’s team. They have several key players and then they bought Van Persie and it took them to Premier League glory once again ahead of their rivals. I understand we don’t have the same type of talent as United and the two clubs shouldn’t be compared but the fact is a few additions to the team and we have a really strong talented team that honestly could be contenders for the League. If those players are not signed, though, and we pick up a few key injuries, it could be a disaster.
