We need more info and I hope someone out there can help us to take a decision. Pallada is a Bermuda Ketch today, but after consulting with Tom Ueland Brattås and Charles Frederick Zimmermann it raise some questions about that. Was she Ketch from the beginning? Or was she a Sloop? In the old photo of her it looks like Sloop and the old captain of the Riga yacht club remember her coming to Riga as a Ketch? But after Charles opinion the keel is built for a sloop not a Ketch? The heavy part is placed under the main mast and there is nothing ballast under the mesan mast? Look at the pictures and you can see Pallada as a one mast Sloop and the next picture shows Pallada as a Ketch. The pictures also shows the 8m mesan mast and the 13m main mast and their possession on the deck of Pallada. “S/Y Pallada” Built: PSRS Moscow 1965-70. Designer: Grigorjevs. Length: 13m. Beam: 3,01 m. Draft: 1,89 m. Bermuda Ketch, Sail aria: 85m2. Hull: Pine on Oak.
