We need to Love all animals. Here is Mr. Rogers, a long time childrens TV personality, communicating Love to Koko the gorilla. Critics say that Koko has learned sign language and responds to others simply for the food reward she may receive. This is called Operant Conditioning and is a common training technique with animals. But although Mr. Rogers is trying to tease out Love from Koko, what I find interesting is that Koko stops Mr. Rogers to ask a question of Mr. Rogers, in sign language Koko asks, Is that a Flower?
