We need to be a united nation that is strong and confident in its future; free to manage its own huge natural resources, free from Westminster policies, free to invest and prosper therefore. England subsidises Scotland annually £16 Bill GBP. However, England also collects every year many more billion GBP tax revenue from Scotland’s industries (e.g. tourism, whisky, agriculture, education, etc) which includes an Oil & Gas tax revenue of £14 Billion. So, there is only one country that is going to be net negative financially ! Alex Salmond has been a hero for the Scottish people, he was instrumental in getting our Parliament and voice back. But our future is not about individual politicians. Its now long overdue to have control over our resources and finances. I would reference the bench marks of New Zealand and Norway as good comparables, both wealthy nations. Should wee New Zealand be under Australian Government given its remote location, etc ? Norway has similar natural resources to Scotland, its not in the EU (doesn’t need it) and is one of the richest nations per head of capita in the world. We have the finest track record of academics, inventors and science discoveries, which is a reflection of our progressive thinking and ability to look after our selves. Anyway, even if the vote is ‘NO’ its not the end of the story ... times are changing. Sláinte ma friends
