We need to deal with this issue of whether EFF is a socialist movement or not. Does it matter at this stage to continue focusing all our energies on an ideological outlook? There are more pressing issues such RACE which I think must take precedence in our struggle for economic freedom. We are clear from our constitution that EFF takes socialism as the theoretical basis guiding its thinking and development of its political line and in this respect identifies itself as a MARXIST, LENINIST, and FANONIAN organisation. Let me enlighten the doomsayers, the constitution of the EFF states that The ultimate aim of the EFF is the realization of socialism through people’s power and the establishment of a state that responds to the needs of its people. Furthermore, it is driven by sound democratic socialist values where the leadership is accountable to the membership which elected it. Yes, we might not see all of this happening now but we are building a movement here and we should not expect miracles overnight. When a baby is born it does not come to this word as a fully grown baby, normally babies are born without hair, nails, teeth, developed physique, etc. So, dont expect EFF to be an abnormal baby that is born as a fully grown baby with clothes on. We need to dispel all these misleading questions particularly from so - called analysts who are part of the propaganda machinery. Members of EFF, who dedicate their lives to the struggle for socialism must be resolute, fearless and surmount every difficulty to win victory! ASIJIKI!!!
