We need your help to help us educate local students! Due to fundraising shortfalls the Arts and Science Council has cut funding for all Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools field trips. This means that 3rd graders entering the 2014 - 2015 school year will not be able to attend wonderful informative and educational experiences at six Mecklenburg County Historic sites. For over two years Rural Hill has been one of these sites. In 2013 -2014 we touched the lives of over 11,500 3rd grade students from all walks of life. Our educational programs inform these students about early colonial/revolution era life in Mecklenburg county. This is a local history that will likely not be covered in the classroom.
