We never know when life as we know it will end. Unexpected death could take us home. A national catastrophe could devastate America and we could suffer the horrors of an unimaginable war as they have in other parts of the world. 911 would seem but a campfire in comparison with what could happen if the terrorists detonated a H-Bomb in one or more of our cities. Possible? Yes. Some experts have reached the point where they no longer say if but when. What if this does happen? None of us really knows how we would react, but I still believe that people of faith would have an anchor of the soul that would see them through such a unthinkable scenario. Jesus has warned us that these days are coming and right now is the time to prepare for such a time. Preparation begins by believing what Jesus said about end time events. Next, we should spend more time in prayer, Bible study and worship. Drawing nearer to the Lord will prepare our hearts and minds for anything that might happen. Live in the assurance that our God is sovereign and works all things after the counsel of His own will. He created this world and sustains it every second. Nothing will catch Him by surprise and He has promised to hold us in His hand. Why then should we live in fear and anxiety? We shouldnt. Our God will see us through any storm that comes our way. Trust Him right now and let His peace that passes all understanding guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
