So excited about this, I know people may not donate and that is okay, because I also know that if they want to, now they have another easier opportunity to do so, and all of the money will go to our clients. Being a tax write off doesnt hurt either. My heart tells me to continue to move forward and persevere and do not give up hope. My heart tells me that if 25 of my friends donate $5, that the next addict that shows up on our doorstep with the gift of desperation, can have a week paid in advance.This seems so insignificant, but in all reality, can make all of the difference. It takes our clients about 3-4 weeks to find employment and start supporting themselves. Getting behind is a hindrance and an obstacle to overcome. Hopefully our community will see the importance of coming together and doing what we can to help. Anne and I will continue to evolve and fight the good fight. We know how hard it can be, and we know the joy and love that comes from freedom from active addiction, and helping others find that freedom. We all have been touched with addiction issues, whether it be our family, people on the job, ourselves, our friends or our neighbors.
