We, on the North Shore, formed a group to explore the option of Homeschooling. This group is strictly for parents looking for more information. If the current Appeals are not successful, we want to be prepared for the next chapters of our children’s education. For many of the reasons we are fighting to keep all of our community schools open, are the same reasons that we are considering Homeschooling. For example, long bus rides, overcrowding, freedom from modules, and a sense that the district does not have our kids’ best interest at heart. You may have different reasons. Our hope is to unite like minded parents, share curriculum, and support each other on this new venture. As well as tap into the resources of experienced homeschooling parents and educators. We hope that this (if need be) will be a temporary solution, while we work on getting a Charter School on the North Shore. A group is already researching this idea, and it is a viable option. Even for our cherished teachers. Whether this would be a temporary solution for you, or this is something that has interested you before, or you are just curious… You are all welcome.
