We probably deserved a point; in all fairness Mansfield are the better side... Instead of my usual 4-4-2, I selected my unusual 4-4-2. Following poor performances Ismail, McAuley and Carey were dropped to the bench, allowing some youth players into the side! The first half was very competitive. We had a few decent chances; nothing clear cut. Mansfield couldnt deal with our midfield runners but we just lacked that touch of penetration. Gary ONeil (yeh the one who was at West Ham and Portsmouth) ratted the cross bar with a well stuck free-kick just before the break - it could of swung either way... Unfortunately it swang their way. They hit us on the counter but had to have two stabs at the goal: Delany made a fabulous save to delay the pain... We have a game in hand over the teams around us and are STILL clinging to the final playoff spot (y) Im concerned with staying up - this is just a very sweet bonus!
