We put up our most earnest prayer for those who do not yet know you. O Spirit of God, convict men and women of their sin, convert them with righteousness in Christ, and convince them of judgment to come. Especially convince the human heart of the sin of not believing in the Lord Jesus. It is the highest act of enmity against God. The rejection of God when he became man and died for us out of infinite love—surely this is the highest crime in the universe. Make this realization strike like an arrow in the heart of someone today. Lay it like a millstone on their conscience until they come to the cross and get rid of it. How shall they escape if they neglect so great salvation? Spirit of God, lay this home to their heart. Then convince them of righteousness. Let them see it can be found only in Jesus Christ. Let them know that it is demanded of all, and if they do not get it from Christ, then they will never have it. Let them not perish in their sins, but let us—through praying and preaching—deliver the message of the gospel. Do it now for Jesus’ sake. Amen.
