Three Tall Pines from Boston are coming over for the festival for the first time. Three Tall Pines are part of the movement to renew American music traditions. Guitar, mandolin, violin, double bass and close harmony singing are the Boston band’s tools. The job is redefining and refurbishing bluegrass, and Three Tall Pines’ success is already recognised. The foursome’s top class instrumental and vocal virtuosity have won them critical acclaim, warm audience response and numerous awards along the way. Three Tall Pines issued Short While Ago in 2008 and All That’s Left in 2011. Their most recent release is the EP Taproot from the autumn of 2014. threetallpines
