We received great news yesterday evening. Aside from the cancer - TopicsExpress

We received great news yesterday evening. Aside from the cancer in Hannah’s right hip, the scans showed that it has not spread anywhere else. We are praising God still for that awesome news. Her first dose of chemo was started last night between 9 and 10pm. She tolerated it very well. The nurses have been so good to explain every step of the process. Hannah is given medications prior to and during chemo to prevent possible side effects. Our short stay at the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital has been an eye opener. Never before have I seen so many broken hearts and people in pain. At one point, while Hannah was still in the recovery room, she grabbed my hand and began to pray for a girl across from her that was crying out in pain. My heart has been overwhelmed with so much grief in the last 24 hours, not just for our pain but mostly for the pain I am seeing others go through. I know that none of this is of God. Yes, God does allow it to happen but he did not will it on anyone. I have not understanding and have decided that I don’t want to understand it. All I know at this point is that this is our journey for now but it will not always be. Hannah said yesterday that cancer has made her MORE not less. We are more because of this. I am so thankful for my faith. Without my beliefs I would be so lost. I can not focus on anything except God. Jesus died so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. Jesus died so that my baby girl may be healed. Please continue to pray for her total healing. We love all of you greatly! Continue to remember Shelby Lynn Steakley, Kenna Taylor, Keley Brooke Roller, Hailey Ann Taylor and Chelsea Clark in your prayers, as well as all others that are suffering with illnesses.
