We received these photos from Janet Bell, who reported what she saw on the beach Thursday morning. Intending to walk the dog, she noticed that Iztuzu Lake and beach are joined by a 10 m wide channel and that the lake is fast emptying into the sea. The breach is nearly a metre deep and must have formed overnight from Wednesday to Thursday. The other end of the beach was cut off unless you were wearing waders.
