We recently posted about this sweet, senior girl who landed in the local shelter. She came with the name Chuck. Go figure. Now we are calling her Charlsley. She was scared and defensive. So nervous in the beginning, that she would not even look at you. A persistent volunteer continued to visit and work with her until she had built enough trust that she allowed the lady to hold her. We have her in foster care and she has proven to be The perfect dog. She is housetrained, walks on a leash, gets along with dogs and people and is a perfect couch buddy. According to the vet, she is in great health and likely has many more years of life to share in a new home. We dont know why she ended up homeless at this age. It makes no sense at all.
