We recently received word that this article, from the August 2014 issue of Iowa Alumni Magazine, is a Gold Award-Platinum finalist for Best Articles of the Year from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education 2014 Pride of CASE V Awards Program. The story will now go on to compete at the national level for the Circle of Excellence Awards. The piece also garnered an honorable mention in the individual features category.
