We rifled through so much paper today I feel dessicated. I told my mother that I dont care if her papers are neatly organized, but please for the love of gods and little fishes at least put them all in one place! In date bingo, we have a box full of medications issued to my grandfather who died in 1977, the oldest of which is from 1958; a loan amortization booklet from 1957; a couple of canceled checks from 1955; and todays winner - a birth certificate and baptism papers from 1890. If only I were drinking scotch as old as the paperwork stashed in my grandmothers house....
