We rose from the insecurity of hunter-gatherers to build civilizations and set ourselves apart from the animal kingdom. We sailed the greatest waters and climbed the highest mountains. We dug into the Earth and gazed into the Skies to learn their secrets. We wrote books to spread our new enlightenment. We threw-out our kings and cast off the chains of slavery. We built machines to do our work, so we could focus on greater things and bring more wealth and prosperity to the world than we ever knew existed. We learned to fly. We cured diseases and extended our lives. We breathed new life into our music and art, creating ever-more amazing ways to produce and display it, unleashing our emotional energy, inspiring us to feel alive and embrace the human experience. We walked upon the surface of the moon. We built towers to scrape the skies and ships to greet the deepest depths of the oceans. We created new life and resurrected that which has long been extinct. We have endlessly looked further and closer, revealing unimaginable beauty. And Im able to tell you all this because the whole world is connected by an invisible web of 1s and 0s that leave the entirety of human knowledge just the gentle nudge of a finger away for any ordinary person. So dont you tell me the future isnt bright. Its brighter than you can possibly imagine.
