We saw The Hobbit 3 yesterday. Not much to say except its probably the best of the three and its a very fun action-fantasy flick with superb battle scenes and a tragic hero in Thorin that brings the whole Dwarven tale up to the same epic level as the Elves in Jacksons LOTR--all of which makes me appreciate Tolkeins quiet, charming story all the more. Tolkeins little book is still out there, untouched and floating along like a soap bubble in spite of the hundreds of millions that Jackson threw at it.
