We saw the Prime Ministers and his council take oath today. Why - TopicsExpress

We saw the Prime Ministers and his council take oath today. Why cant we take an oath on similar lines as citizens of this country? I will start it with me. I, Aashay Gune, keeping in mind the allegiance that I owe to this country will commit myself to the following in the coming years. 1. I will appreciate the work of the government in the coming years if the decisions taken by them are good and inclusive. 2. I will criticize the government for the decisions that are not in favor of the larger interests of the country. However while doing so I will make sure that I use a dignified language and a language which wont have criticism on personal grounds or in an abusive vocabulary. 3. I understand that the position of a Prime Minister is one of the highest constitutional abodes and hence while dealing with him or his work, I will not withdraw my respect for that position. There were people who did that but I will not be the one continuing that tradition. 4. I understand the increasing use of Social Media around me However, I will control myself from abuses, mocking, spreading lies and useless forwards, cheap cartoons that depict the Prime Minister or anyone from the government. This happened on a huge scale around me but that has not made me shy away from my principle of maintaining dignity of the highest order. 5. My Whatsapp will not be a medium to spread lies about the government. It wont forward messages that depict cheap statements. Rather it will be a medium to comment on whatever good or bad is happening in the country. Same will be for Facebook and Twitter and the all the channels of social media that would be launched. 6. I wont comment on personal lives of any of the leaders in the government. What they do on a personal front is not my concern. Government has changed but not my approach. Unfortunately this trend is on a dangerous rise. 7. Finally, I will never say the statement, Nothing happens in this country/ Nothing has happened in this country. For what we are today is a result of the relay of changing governments and their constructive work in the democratic framework. Thank You! :)
