We saw the pediatrician :) finally. He read through the previous pediatricians notes, looked at some of Justins medical history notes, asked me so many questions (most of which I wasnt expecting) and he observed justin interacting with his little sisters before talking to him personally. And he said without a doubt, justin isnt adhd (thankyou Ive been saying that all along) and then turned and said your son has autism We have our referral to C.A.M.S (child adolescent mental health services) for him to get an official diagnosis. Now just to wait for an appointment. Im so happy. I know that you will all understand why, while parents of non special needs children would wonder why Im happy about my son being on the spectrum. But Im just so relieved, finally he will be able to get the help he needs at school but more importantly, when we have that official diagnosis, maybe then people will begin to understand his little quirks that they often mistake for rudeness and ignorance. :) So relieved.
