We should be ashamed of ourselves as a society that we continue to - TopicsExpress

We should be ashamed of ourselves as a society that we continue to buy products from these vulture capitalist companies and look up to people like Steve Jobs and Tim Cook as if they are Gods. Tim Cook is paid $40,000,000 (plus stock options) annually and his employees (in Asia) work in a concentration camp type of environment. Instead of taking photographs with consumers last week at the product launch he should justify his damn salary and figure out a way to treat his Asian employees like human beings. The attacks on Wall Street from Main Street are 100% justified. For the most part … just a bunch of unethical, greedy and morally bankrupt individuals who don’t give a damn about anything aside from money. Philip Morris, Apple, CVS, Starbucks … no level too low to stoop to make an extra dollar. The worse they behave … the more money they make and the stronger the support from Wall Street. CVS shareholders were not happy with $5 billion in net profit last year, so in an effort to become more profitable they are kicking cashiers to the street and replacing those individuals with check-out kiosks. The b*stard CEO has been paying himself 500 times what his cashiers get paid -- plus he gets bonuses, benefits and stock options. Now they are changing their name to CVS Health and refusing to sell cigarettes after all these years. They finally figured out that killing millions of people was a bad business decision. No accountability whatsoever. I talk about wealth redistribution, profit sharing, and ethics and all of the cowards on Wall Street (and Main Street) remain silent instead of echoing my sentiment. I am starting to understand why the rest of the world hates the US and why two-thirds of the people in this country are upset. It is a disgusting vulture capitalist system … everything rises to the top of the pyramid … nothing trickles down … only bread crumbs and food stamps … and even the food stamps and bread crumbs those at the top wish they didn’t have to pay for because that cuts into their profit margin. They won the birth lottery, born with silver and gold spoons in their mouths ... and for that they feel they deserve to earn what they earn ... 100X to 1000X what those in the services sector earn ... philanthropyandphilosophy
