We sit here in our home in anticipation,praying and hoping the night passes uninterrupted by the roaring of mortars and terrifying chantings.These days ,each time the family gets together for supper ,there is this unspoken fear of what night will hold.Even as are all gripped in perpetual fear,there is very little we can do when the night doesnt go well.Half of the townsmen and women will resign to faith and wait for the worse that could happen. Others will run in every direction heading into the bush.Last Friday ,we had a visit .Soldiers put up a mild defence before they withdrew and left us all alone (with boys) in town .Luckily ,our guest were not in the mood.So the town,its women and young boys were spared apart from a few skirmishes here and there.This afternoon I was wondering why there are so many road blocks and government shuts down a whole state because of Christmas. Its certainly not because of the guest that came visiting on Friday.Because those ones are for now,unstoppable by our fleeing army!
