We sit, we wait, we listen. But listen for what exactly. Our waiting becomes a hope. Hope for what? Hope for a better life. A better future. Things we want. Material things we dont have. Places we want to go. People wed like to meet. We listen. For what? For a good voice. A voice that tells you everything is gonna be okay. Things will get better. You will be happier. But how? How are we happy? What should make us happy? What makes us happy? A title. The boss. CEO. Head honcho. Top dog... A new car. The newest of course. Nothing before 2013. The old ones arent in style anymore... Fresh clothes Gucci, Armani. Gotta stay fly.. Trying to stay up to date on the new trends. Thatll make us happy. Yeah, living the life. The real life. But truth is materialistic things wont do it. They never will. No title. No car. No clothes. Not anything but ourselves. Our families. The finer things in life dont have a price tag. They have a heart. Be thankful for what you have. Im thankful for my family and some of the best friends I could ever ask for. You know who you are. I love you guys. God help me to be a better man. For me and everyone that walks through life with me. Help me to keep my head straight. Focus on things to be the best me I can be. The best is yet to come. Some of the best days of your life havent even happened yet. Give thanks.
