We spend our entire life working to be accepted. We may feel we - TopicsExpress

We spend our entire life working to be accepted. We may feel we are as independent or individualistic as possible, but we all strive for acceptance in some way. We may have art tattooed on us from head to toe, look like a pincushion, wear clothes around the ankles, reveal every asset possible, be as bald as ever, wear a rug, sport pajamas everywhere, dress with the finest clothes possible, have no makeup, or wear so much it flakes off in the wind. It makes no difference what it is that we do to be an individual we still look for acceptance in some fashion or another. We look for acceptance from our parents, relatives, friends, or neighbors. Some of us need to have it through church, school, work, fraternal organizations, auxiliaries, or volunteering. Others search for it from sources, which are not as nice, like gangs, the streets, or superficial means. Being accepted is a part of life; it is instilled before birth and continues to our deathbed and beyond. It is the way we look at ourselves that is the key. Do we value ourselves in order to deserve acceptance? If we do, we are on the right path. Look deep inside as find it. Have a fantastic day, my friends. It is going to be a gorgeous day in the Ocean State. Take advantage of it and live it to the fullest. ~alex~
