We spent a lot of time with Mike at the Res and fishing the river and waters of the area. Sorry for your loss. Rose M. Jarzyna 1931 - 2013 Holyoke Rose M. (Chlystek) Jarzyna, 82, of Holyoke, passed away on November, 14, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1931 in South Hadley and is the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Adamiak) Chlystek. Rose was educated in South Hadley Schools and was an employee of Mount Holyoke College until she had retired. Rose was also a lifelong communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church (Our Lady of the Cross). Rose was the widow of Leopold J. Jarzyna and was predeceased by her sisters, Jeanette Hajec, Edna Zebrowski, Frances Filipak, Helen Askew, a brother Joseph Hayseley, and her daughter Susan Jarzyna Connelly. She is survived by her son, Michael Jarzyna and his girlfriend Evelyn DiCarlo, her daughter, Elizabeth Heigle and her husband Thomas, and her son-in-law, Ross Connelly. Rose also leaves her four grandchildren, Marissa Moore and her husband Jerome, Aubrey Heigle, Joshua Heigle and Sawyer Connelly, as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral for Rose will be Tuesday at 9AM at the Ryder Funeral Home in South Hadley, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10AM in Our Lady of the Cross in Holyoke. Roses burial will be in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4PM until 8PM.
