We spent around three hours today at Redwing Park in Lagrangeville. It was very hot in the sun but it was birdy. Prairie, Yellow, Blue-winged Warblers, Field, Song & Chipping Sparrows, Cedar Waxwings, Veery singing, Oriole feeding the nestlings, even unidentified cuckoo, and three species of swallows flying around. The Bank Swallows were special. it seems you see them only in quarries or close to one like today. Heres a baby Chickadee that was called dirty and a Halloween Pennant Dragonfly that sat pretty. I just wanted to show you a sample of the odonates. Butterflies & odonates are my next passion after the birds.
