We still have a lot of fakes asking to join Hudson Valley Community Dances. Heres a video actually showing how to join multiple groups at once. People do it for pay - not by Facebook; Facebook has denied that they pay. But evidently there are companies that will pay. I wrote a long post about it some months ago, and when all the admins had seen it, I deleted it. Shouldnt have done that; we have new admins now. Please vet people. We can always tell because they have only been on facebook for a year or less and they dont have any posts or any meaningful content. What is facebook doing to prevent these kinds of accounts from existing- or from trying to join groups? It has gotten to the point where about half of the accounts trying to join are spammers. Honestly, its getting out of control. Cant we have an option to prevent users from joining if they havent been on facebook for at least a year, or have some other kind of verifiable legitimacy on their account?
