We submitted to the United Nations Report on Racial Profiling, led by Rights Working Group (Washington, D.C.) with submissions from Streetwise & Safe (New York, NY) and BreakOUT (New Orleans , LA). The report includes our "The Quality of Life for Southeast Asian Youth" based on 365 interviews and compilation of surveys led by Southeast Asian youth, alumnus, and more. "The 2006 Southeast Asian Youth Survey revealed that 71% of young Southeast Asian men have been racially-profiled and accused of being in a gang. The law enforcement crack-down on Southeast Asian youth includes the use of illegal detainment, un-warranted searches, unnecessary force, intelligence gathering through a “gang database”, and racial profiling."
