We take our own country for granted. This summer 153 000 - TopicsExpress

We take our own country for granted. This summer 153 000 spectators and 33 025 singers were attending Estonian Song Festival to remind the freedom we gained 23 years ago. Director Elmo Nüganen said there: We are used to think that every nation, even the smallest one, has the right to his own country. So were thinking Livonians, so were thinking Votes. So are thinking one million Chechens, seven million Tatars, 11 million Catalans, 30 million Kurds. So are thinking we - one million Estonians - and we have our own country. Please support Kurdish Independence! My friend Mardin is organizing a candlelight vigil today at 7.30pm in front of UT Tower in support of a population under the threat of a genocidal campaign by ISIS. We hope that our little act of solidarity will raise awareness about an imminent human crisis.
