We the People of the United States, in Order to ...provide for the common defence, ...do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. — Preamble to the Constitution Providing for the common defense is more comprehensive than protecting the citizens of the US from bullets and bombs, it is about protecting US Citizens period. The Ebola virus threatens the United States on its soil. It threatens our families, our cities and our national security and there is no cure for the threat. So far the response by our president is about as competent as the Obamacare Debacle. While we can sympathize with our global neighbors in Africa, our first responsibility is to the United States. Its time for our government to make the hard decisions to live up to their responsibility.
