We the people of Gilgit Baltistan are so shocked and sad to wake up to such a painful incident in Chilas, Diamer in which 11 tourists were assassinated . Not only 11 plus innoccent lives are lost but this has shut doors for the thousands of hopes of the GBians. Tourism is the main source of economy and livlihood for the locals..... and it has had its greatest shock. We are the Gilgit Baltistan are termed as "disputed" thus cannot vote or be represented in the Parliament or constitution of Pakistan, do not have a province, not allocated funds in NFC awards, cannot take our judicial matters to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. We have had several such incidents in Kohistan and Chilas area where 100s of shias have been assassinated supported by the Diamer Jirga, the Taliban and the agencies. Our condolences to all the families of the deceased....but we are ourselves subjected to total injustice .
