We took a day of rest today. We are all so excited that the kids in the band got GOLD at regionals, and will now move on to Semi-state in Indy in two weeks! Wow, what a ride this marching band competition is! Ive never been especially keen on watching sporting events, but watching these young people compete with their talent, musical ability, and yes, athleticism, is something that I can really get into! Finally, I understand the anxious, edge-of-your-seat excitement usually associated with baseball or football. Im hooked on band competitions! Who will win, who will suffer the agony of defeat??? Its all very exciting!!!!
