We took visiting daughter and granddaughter down to the Saturday market in Carouge and stumbled across former world-champion skater Stéphane Lambiel and European-champion Sarah Maier, both Swiss, opening the towns ice rink for the winter... The Tribune de Genève site offers this video, in which Lambiel describes the surface of the rink as super-bon. Ill take his mot for it. (Ruth Ann and I did not secure a spot for viewing the routines, but we sang all the words to Caberet lustily, as surrounding francophones gave us the ol fish-eye. Well... anglophones, too.)
