We toured a very good Titanic Exhibit today with quite a few salvaged artifacts, including some examples of American currency, a piece of the hull, a communications device from the bridge. Not just a tourist trap. Some facts I didnt know..... R.M.S. Stands for Mail service. Its primary purpose was mail delivery.......J.P. Morgan owned the majority of the ship, so although it was registered in Liverpool, and built in Ireland it was an American owned ship and posted theAmerican flag along with the White Star and the Union Jack..........one of the 5 dollar bills is from 1899 and is the only example of U.S. Currency with a Native American.
