We used to communicate at least 9 times a day, by email, smss and phone calls. In the morning he used to enquire if Id reached work safely and on time. In between we would send silly emails of which most of them made me laugh out loud - I still read them often, in the afternoon he would call to see if Ive arrived home safely and gave instructions what to cook for supper. I sometimes find myself on the brink of wanting to dial his number, but he wouldnt be on the other side of the line. It hurts immensenely, - He wasnt just my father, he was a comapnion of note, a true gentleman and most of all... My best friend.
