We want five candidates for Senatorial race ----Premier Lofa pressure group demands Akoi Dakala, Chairman Concerned Lofa Organizations for the protection of Wologisiakoison@yahoo/akoidakala@yahoo/0886588857 Ahead of this year’s special midterm senatorial battle, a lead Lofa advocacy group, the Concerned Lofa Organization for the protection of Wologisi (CLOPW) has endorsed the candidacy of five individuals vying for the county’s highest seat, hoping to reduce what the organization termed as “a crowded field. The Chairman of the group Akoi Dakala (CLOWP) revealed that his organization’s endorsement of the five candidates comes in the wake of the proliferation of several contestants from the same districts wanting to occupy the same post. The Lofa advocacy group named Stanley Kparkelen of Salayea district, Cllr. Joseph Jallah of Kolahun, Prof. Alhaji G.V Kromah of Quardu Gboni, Gladys Beyan of Zorzor and Stephen Zargo of Voinjama districts. According to CLOPW, Kparkelen remains the only candidate that Salayea has produced in previous elections and continue to main in the forthcoming election, thus making him the best man to contest in that terrain. The group went on to say that For Kolahun, Cllr. Joseph Jallah is the lone candidate that has been petitioned by all elements of his district, adding that his humanitarian services and personal assistances have been uncompromising. “The people of Kolahun did not only endorse Cll. Jallah as their only choice for 2014 election, they took him to Foya and appealed to Foya people for support on a district to district level,” the group said. For Zargo the group maintained that he’s the formidable force representing Voinjama and the district and has done much to impact the lives of many Lofans that gives him the edge to compete with his fellow nominee. “His effort to bring the TOTAL gas station to Voinjama far exceeds the effort of Francis Carbah who was sitting on a gold mine at NASSCORP and did nothing for the county until he left before he started thinking about building cold storage to sell fish”. We want to say clearly that Gladys Beyan may be preferred to represent Zorzor at the moment because she served as a representative during the Doe’s era with not much negative to record. we have also endorsed Alhaji Kromah from Quardu Gboni district, but indicating that he’s in the race to draw attention as not much has been seen from his end to deliver the people of Lofa from underdevelopment. Lofa has continued to be comatose behind due to the poor recital of leadership ability being demonstrated by the county’s leadership generally and particularly the current Senator Sumo Coupe. Yes, the issue of people center, people orientation and people sensitive has been the demand of the concerned Lofa Organizations for the Protection of Wologisi. The Current Senator has been considered as such that lacks these basis characters if any political pundits decide to follow his bequest. As the result of these basic phenomenons, the premium pressure group of the county, the Concerned Lofa Organizations for the Protection of Wologisi has embarked on an unwavering and unbending venture meant to positive engage citizens of the county to ensure a perfect political and administrative solution to the unending problem that the county’s continued to face. We have continued to lament that Lofa lacks serious political and administrative leader that will ascetically lead the county. This in our opinion can be evident considering the manner or disorganized manner that Lofa has been governed over the years. The entire first round of the Ellen Jonson Sirleaf led government Lofa stood to benefit nothing positive considering the irresistible manner in which the county prop up the sway. The Superintendent under Mr. Galakpai Kottimi was hardly ridicules considering the bitter relationship between him and Senator Sumo Coupe. In this manner, we are calling on all Lofa Citizens to take cognizant in our recommendation as it will help electorates in the county who are not to some larger extend sophisticated to make choices that will mean well for the county; Nearly twenty persons have expressed interest to rival for the post of Senator during the special Senatorial Election comes 2014 in Lofa County. The concerned Lofa Organizations for the Protection of Wologisi is a pressure group in Lofa that has succeeded in advocating for the Wologisi mountain that is ardently in the struggle to providing solution in the leadership gap of the county, through youth participation into decision making.
